It was Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 at 10 am at the Moody Gardens in Galveston (west parking lot) ! Music was provided by DJ Joe Rios.
All proceeds from this event went to support The Jesse Tree!
At 10 a.m. Saturday, The GT-R Club of Houston rallied to display 20 to 25 GT-Rs in the West Parking Lot of Moody Gardens. The gathering benefited The Jesse Tree, a local, faith-based program that connects those seeking health care, social services and ministerial assistance in Galveston County.
The owners of these exclusive vehicles met in Clear Lake and drove to Galveston in a parade.
“When I read about Tony Buzbee’s donation of sports cars to The Jesse Tree, it inspired me to contact the broader membership to ask if anyone might be interested in focusing our fall gathering on Galveston and The Jesse Tree.” Jim McKinley, of the GT-R Club of Houston, said. “There was an immediate, positive response, and I am thrilled that so many members will be there this Saturday at Moody Gardens.”
The Houston Chapter of the North American GT-R Owners Club is comprised of owners and perspective owners of the Nissan GT-R and enthusiasts. There are about 3,900 of these vehicles in the United States and Canada.
The public was invited to view the cars and take pictures. All proceeds went to benefit The Jesse Tree.
The event went extremely well. The Jesse Tree thanks everyone who participated and looks forward to seeing everyone at our next event!
