Enron Encroachment

The King George Hotel has been a forgotten relic of better times. Parking lots and architectural antiques surround the hotel.  Located across the street is the Star of Hope Shelter for the homeless.  This hotel now sits in the shadow of a shrine to professional baseball, the near complete Enron Field.

Those, with nothing but time on their hands, are being encroached upon by those with everything in their hands. Traffic moves about them and you are invisible. Once you stop you become part of their world. You are being watched.

The busy-ness of construction and heavy traffic contrasts sharply with the idleness of these men waiting, waiting for assistance, waiting for their next meal, waiting for the end of the day. The world is rapidly changing, yet for them, nothing ever really changes.
